SHIKARPUR: Several rallies were taken out by va
rious political parties and groups to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people on the eve of Kashmi
r Solidarity Day here on Sunday.
Those groups and organizations that took out rallies included the scouts, JUI-F, Jamaat-e-Islami and Pooj Hindu General Panchayat.
The rallies were taken out from va
rious places of the city and terminated at Lakhi Dar Clock Tower. The spea
kers at these ral
lies said that India had forcibly occupied the land of Kashmir and committing atrocities on innocent Kashmiris.
They strongly condemned India for its occupation of Kashmir. They demanded that the world community take notice of the barbarism of the Indian government so that the Kashmiri people could live freely withou
t any fear.
